Today we decided to feature a great organization instead of a product... The Red Cross they have helped us (in Florida) so much when things got nasty last year, and they are doing the same today in New Orleans. I know, I know, they are far from perfect, and many people debates that being such a large organization there are probably several problems with the way it is run and so on... But I worked at a local chapter where most people were volunteers, and I saw how they truly strive to help others. There's always something you can do to help, don't let anyone tell you there isn't. If you don't have time to donate to your local chapter (even to another organization if you prefer) and you can spare a few (tax deductible) dollars, just stop by and they will put the bills to good work! If you don't have any extra bucks, make sure that the place where you shop is donating some of their earnings to the Red Cross this month to help Katrina's Victims. If where you regularly shop there are no signs and workers don't know anything about it, just speak to the manager and make a suggestion to start a program. It is super easy to set it up with the Red Cross, it will represent a great tax break for them, and it will definitively make a difference... In our online boutique we are donating 10% of our profits to our local chapter, make sure you shop online at places that are doing the same, or email the owner about it!
I hope everyone gets inspire to help, it was us (Floridians) last year, it is New Orleans today, but you never know who's next. I guarantee all your help will be returned in ten folds!

Fashion -in this hemisphere, at least- is all about Fall this time of the year! So for our first product review we choose the Belt! Belts are such an important part of any outfit, specially to use with Jeans (and fall is the time for Jeans!) and a great way to jazz up anything in the last minute (how long does it take to buckle the thing!)
Nic Norman is one of our Favorite Belt Designers! Her belts are just an awesome combination of craftmanship and design, definitively EC approved! ECW in a nut

Now that you know a bit about ECW, let me introduce myself: The Super Girly Chic at ECW :) Editor in Chief! AKA: Dalila Szostak.
As you can imagine, I have a passion for the art behind international fashion. I trully admire designers that with a white canvas are able to create something incredible out of a piece of fabric! I consider myself artistic and creative, but the gift that some of these people have is worth our recognition. One of my favorite things in fashion are Accessories! I admire clothing, and -of course- shoes, but accessories are the trully final touch, the cherry in the cake, the "make it" or "break it" of an outfit! That is why our Exclusive Boutique (www.eurochic.us) features accessories that I trully adore since they are artistic and useful! What more can you ask from an accessory? So if you haven't visited our Boutique yet make sure you do so quick (a huge sale is going on ;) Well, back to me, where was I saying... Oh yes, I usually get sidetracked specially when talking about fashion... lol! I trully admire the international flair and I believe that the fact that I lived in more than 3 countries in my short 23 years of life might have something to do with it... The trully idea behind ECW is to bring the World of Fashion to your door (or screen) featuring a different product everyday here, and cool articles in the other sections. Back to me... Before starting my own wholesale company (and the e-boutique..and this magazine) I worked with designers such as Jordi Labanda and Agatha Ruiz de la Prada from Spain (hence the word Euro in my company) and that also helped fuel my passion for international fashion. Last, but by all means not least, I am married to a beautiful Colombia"nito" and it is he who also inspires me to continue serching abroad for chic things. He also runs the International Program at his University (ERAU), so as you can see it all ends up being a Wordly cause! Well, I hope to trully bring you a portal to the world of fashion and some basic -and cool- knowledge about being Chic! "EuroChic" !!!
